Xiamen and Xiamen North are different railway stations. Use the exact departure station on your confirmed train ticket, including the word “North” when it appears.

Keep the two names separate

Xiamen North / Xiamenbei厦门北站

Do not shorten “Xiamen North” to “Xiamen” when arranging a car. A driver needs the station name, and sometimes the correct entrance or drop-off area as well.

Read the confirmed ticket first

  1. Check the departure date and train number.
  2. Read the full departure-station name, not just the arrival city.
  3. Check the original travel document used for the booking.
  4. Save the ticket details offline and match the destination in your transport app.

If you booked through a platform, distinguish a reservation request from an issued ticket. Use the platform’s confirmation to check that a train and seat have actually been assigned.

Allow time for the whole station process

Our planning suggestion is to include the trip to the station, finding the entrance, security, document checks and reaching the boarding gate. A route estimate to the edge of the station is only part of that journey.

Use the official metro network or a map to compare the route from your hotel. Check current first and last services if travelling early or late. We do not provide a fixed transfer-time promise between the stations.

Make a Xiamen North destination card or make a Xiamen Station card.

If you discover you are at the wrong station

Check the time and contact railway or booking support before committing to another trip. Ask what change options remain for your ticket; do not assume you can simply board from the other station.

If you cannot find a staffed gate for your document, show the train confirmation and passport to station staff. Keep the document details private when sharing screenshots outside official support channels.
